MAC Os Initial Setup Guidelines

• install package managers

  1. brew

  2. node, npm, nvm

  3. python(3), pip(3)

  4. ruby, gem, bundler

• install apps and cli binaries via brew

  After install remove cache folder

  Setup brew env variables in separate file (see man brew for the available options)

  • Serve login in app store per poter usare mas
  • Sostituire coreutils con gnu coreutils

• manual apps install (vedere come usare curl/wget e pkgutil o installer)

  • adobe cc + crack
  • cinema 4d
  • virtualdj + hercules driver
  • matlab
  • ltspice windows with wine bottler
  • eaglecad
  • waveforms for AD2
  • wacom (scegliere il giusto driver)

• import bash_profile

  • .bash_profile: main file to source
  • .bash_aliases: aliases
  • .bash_prompt: PS1 appereance

• setup ssh keys (backupped)

• import defaults preferences

  • rivedere tutte le impostazioni messe a mano

• import chrome bookmarks/preferences

  • vedere se si riesce a fare un parser per trasformare json in formato universale

• import mail accounts (via Applescript magari)
